“Mastering the Exams” is a unique lecture designed to provide students with the best opportunities to maximise examination scores. Students will learn vital skills that will help optimise examination performance as well as strategies that will maximise learning and cut down on study time! In addition, the following key topics will be addressed:

• The key ingredients for exam success.
• Strategies used by average students to obtain Band 6 scores.
• The most effective (and time saving) learning techniques.
• The latest in learning theories.
• Planning and executing effective exam study timetables.
• Decoding examination questions and requirements.
• How exam markers allocate scores.
• Setting out answers so as to optimise examination scores.
• Capitalising on consequential marks.
• Errors made by past students and how to avoid them.
• Combating “panic attacks” and “mind blanks”.
• Using trends and marking schemes to your advantage.
• Strategies that will maximise how much of each examination paper is answered correctly.

We do, however, require that students participating in this program make a compulsory paper note donation (minimum of $10) to the
charity representatives that will be in attendance on the day.

Note: 50% of the proceees collected will be donated to Beyone Blue and 50% of the donations will be donated to the Fred Hollows Foundations. To date our 'Mastering' lectures have raised over $88,000, all of which has been donated to charity.
